This exercise helps you loosen your shoulders and build core control by circling a kettlebell around your head while kneeling on one knee.
Trunk Stability Rotation Knees Flexed
This exercise helps you build core control by lowering bent knees side to side while your shoulder blades stay pinned to the floor.
- Starting Position:
- Supine
Start: Lie on your back with hips and knees bent to right angles, a foam roll or towel squeezed between your knees. Arms straight out to the sides at shoulder height.
Action:
Lower your knees toward one side.
The opposite shoulder blade stays pinned to the floor. Turn the palm on the side you're rotating toward down; the other palm stays up.
Bring the knees back to center and lower to the other side, switching the palms.
To make it harder, straighten the knees. Finish by returning your feet to the floor.
Feel: You should feel your core controlling the descent, not gravity dropping your knees. If a shoulder blade lifts, you've gone too far.
