This exercise helps you turn your head and shoulders while kneeling tall and holding a weight behind you, using your breath to find your true range.
Get-Up To Tall Sit
This exercise helps you master the get-up transition from the elbow to the hand, keeping the kettlebell vertical as you rise.
- Starting Position:
- Supine
Start: Work through the get-up until you're posted on your elbow, bell locked overhead.
Action:
Press into the floor with the down hand, turning the fingers to point away from your body, and straighten the arm into a tall sit. The bell rises straight up.
At the top there's a straight line from the bell hand down through your body to the planted hand.
Both shoulders pulled down and back; chest neutral — no rounding, no arching.
Reverse back to the elbow with control. Repeat, then switch sides.
Feel: If the bell tips forward or back as you rise, you've lost the straight line — slow down and re-pack both shoulders.
