Rolling Lower Body
This exercise helps you relearn rolling from your back to your stomach using your legs to lead while your upper body stays relaxed.
- Starting Position:
- Supine
Start: Lie on your back, arms overhead, feet hip-width apart. Let everything from the waist up go completely relaxed.
Action:
Bring one knee up and reach it across your body toward the opposite hip, turning your hips that way.
Your upper body stays relaxed and behind — the legs pull it over about halfway through, and it follows the hips the rest of the way.
To come back: reach the same leg diagonally back across your body and roll onto your back. The arms just follow. Repeat, then switch sides.
Feel: Say out loud anything you notice — effort, tightness, which side flows better. If the relaxed half of your body starts helping, the drill isn't working.
