KB Push Press

This exercise helps you build shoulder strength and leg power by using a quick knee dip and drive to push two kettlebells overhead.

Start: Stand in a hinge with two kettlebells about a foot in front of your feet. Grip the handles, hike the bells back between your legs, then snap your hips forward and steer them in to your shoulders — the rack position.

Action:

  1. Sniff air into your belly and dip your knees slightly.

  2. Breathe out hard and drive your feet through the floor, snapping your hips and legs straight — let that force push the bells overhead, arms straight but not locked.

  3. Sniff air in, pull your shoulders down, and lower the bells to the rack with control.

  4. If posture breaks at any point, reset and start again.

Feel: The legs do the launching; the arms finish. If you're muscling the bells up with your shoulders, dip a little deeper and drive a little harder.
