Split Squat Goblet With One KB
This exercise helps you build leg strength and balance by lowering into a split squat while holding a kettlebell at your chest.
- Starting Position:
- Split Stance
Start: Hold a kettlebell by the horns close to your chest, centered on your breastbone. Step one leg forward only as far as needed to keep the back hip open — no need for a huge stride.
Action:
Lower by bending the front knee and hip. Let the back heel rise and the back knee bend until it's nearly touching the floor.
Stay tall — don't fold at the hips or round your lower back. Front knee points the same direction as the front foot.
Drive through the front foot to stand back up. Do your reps, then switch legs.
Feel: Front thigh and glute do the work. If your torso tips forward as you lower, the weight is too heavy for today.
